Thank you for standing with freedom, especially in a time when doing so could be taken as an offense and be met with hostility. We write to also report the fact that we feel thankful for your adamantly defending freedom of expression for players of a sport we so dearly love and respect.
The influence of your empowering act goes far and beyond, and should inspire whoever shares love for the game. For one, this will definitely be received as encouragement so desperately needed by basketball lovers in Hong Kong, where for many, the young in particular, it no longer feels safe to even play on street courts.
