自2015年開始，NBA球員公會 (NBPA – National Basketball Player Association) 開始頒發Players’ Voice Awards (PVA, 球員之聲獎)。這個獎項是由NBA 現役球員投票選出，媒體、球迷皆沒份參與。
據NBA球員公會的官方描述，球員之聲獎旨在「慶賀球員在場上和場外的成就。」
而今年2018年的球員之聲獎包括以下12個類別的獎項：
The MVP Award – MVP獎
The Toughest To Guard Award – 最難防守獎
The Leader of the New School Award (best rookie) – 新生代領袖獎 (最佳新秀)
The X-Factor Award (best off the bench) – X-Factor獎 (最佳第六人獎)
Mr. Clutch Award – 最關鍵獎
The Locksmith Award (best defender) – 最佳防守球員獎
The Backbone (best team leader) – 球隊支柱獎
The Most Respected Award (influential veteran) – 最受敬重獎
The People’s Champ Award – 人民英雄獎
The Freshest Award (best style/fashion on and off the court) – 最潮氣獎
The Best Side Hustle Award (best off-court endeavors, in fashion, tech, media, art, etc.) – 最佳場邊表現獎
The Sneaker Champ Award (best shoe game) – 最佳球鞋表現獎
過去三年的球員之聲MVP 分別是Russell Westbrook (2017)、Stephen Curry (2016)、James Harden (2015)。
而NBPA 公佈了今個季度的兩個獎項：Backbone Awards (球隊支柱獎) 和The Leader of the New School Award (新生代領袖獎)
「球隊支柱獎」得主共有30人，每隊1個，由該隊球員選出；得主分別如圖示：
而「新生代領袖獎」的得主則是Donovan Mitchell。
